The Princess and the Green Hat

stpattyTeam Taylorsville’s St. Patty’s Day Spring Fling Dance was a great success for Smith Co. Relay for Life.  We had 43 children to attend the dance.  The highlight of the evening was the crowning of the best  Irish dancers.  The vote was by secret ballot with Peyton Hetrick being presented with a Irish Princess sash and crown and Calvin Boyland receiving a green felt hat. Team Taylorsville’s members are:

Rosalyn Glenn, Hilda Powell, Patricia Blakeney, Tina Jordan , Janette Brewer and Marcy Jordan. Look in next week’s paper for our next event "Jail and Bail" for all the details.

We are cleaning up the West Industrial Park site by having it bush hogged and a sign erected to attract new industries. Our present Industrial Park is getting a new sign with the help of the existing business owner’s paying for their name to be placed on the sign.

We need to display a positive image of our town at all times because you never know who is looking. Economic Development is needed everywhere but let’s start at home. Spend your money in Taylorsville.”
