The Evon A. Ford Library was recently landscaped with donations received from Trustmark National Bank, Friends of the Library and the Taylorsville Garden Club. I would like to thank each organization for their monetary gifts and volunteers, Margie Harper and Hilda Powell, for all their hard work in planting the shrubs at the library. J & H Construction received the bid on repairing the R H Watkins Museum. As the museum is on the Nat. Historic Register, it has been architecturally evaluated and work will begin soon to secure & sturdy the building that was damaged by Katrina. Mayor Glenn has been clearing out and storing museum contents so that work can begin. |
