The Evon A. Ford Library was recently landscaped with donations received from Trustmark National Bank, Friends of the Library and the Taylorsville Garden Club. I would like to thank each organization for their monetary gifts and volunteers, Margie Harper and Hilda Powell, for all their hard work in planting the shrubs at the library.

City and County Officials present at the Library Luncheon
A luncheon honoring Smith County Officials was held at the Tville Library on Tuesday, Feb 16th. Friends of the Library sponsored the event and prepared lunch for about 30 guests.

This building is a familiar sight on Hwy 28 East in Taylorsville.    Since September 2007, Taylorsville Farm Supply, LLC   has been under the ownership/management of Taylorsville native, Dennis Glenn. It has undergone growth and a recent expansion.

J & H Construction
received the bid on repairing the R H Watkins Museum. As the museum is on the Nat. Historic Register, it has been architecturally evaluated and work will begin soon to secure & sturdy the building that was damaged by Katrina. Mayor Glenn has been clearing out and storing museum contents so that work can begin.
